Better Off Home Buyers, a Portland home-buying company since 2018, has been nominated for Best of the Rose City 2026 in the Real Estate Company category and is also on the ballot for Customer Service. Public voting is open once a day through Friday, November 13, at VoteRoseCity.com. Results are expected on February 25, 2027.

10 Months After Washington Wholesaling Law Takes Effect, Better Off Home Buyers Reports Positive Results

Ten months after Washington’s wholesaling law, SHB 1081, took effect, Better Off Home Buyers reports that its impact has been overwhelmingly positive. The law gives sellers the right to a buyer-funded appraisal and to cancel without penalty. Founder Scott Dalinger says the fly-by-night operators are gone, while good operators have seen no negative impact.

Portland real estate investors mobilize to deliver aid to Colombian earthquake victims

After the 7.4-magnitude earthquake in Colombia, Better Off Home Buyers jumped into action, rallying Portland real estate investors to raise $4,650 and deliver direct relief. Founder Scott Dalinger purchased and delivered 750 pounds of essential food, hygiene items, and emergency supplies directly to local collection centers.
